At the garden gate

Hello, and welcome to Garden House.

I am Ben Bishop, keeper of this house and grounds. Much of my writing over the past two decades has come in the form of novels. I am raising the roof beam of this new house in order to create a place for my essays, some of which have previously appeared in publications like Commonweal and The Other Journal.

I expect to find myself writing about various longstanding interests, including art, faith, and place, though other topics will no doubt insinuate themselves.
